All of this is stored locally on your device (in a private database and the app’s private files). None of it is uploaded to us or to any third party.
None. Switchbook does not have user accounts, does not require sign-in, and contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking libraries. We have no servers that receive your information.
The app requests no location, contacts, microphone, or background access.
Switchbook offers a one-time “Pro” unlock. If you purchase it, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing under Google’s own privacy terms. We do not receive or store your payment card or billing details.
The app never shares your data automatically. If you use CSV export, the file is written only to the location you choose via the Android system file picker. Where that file goes afterward is up to you.
Because all data is local, you are in full control. Deleting an item removes it; uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we never received it.
Switchbook is a general-audience hobby tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and publish the new version at this URL and inside the app.
