Spool is built privacy-first. The app works fully offline, has no accounts, and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. Everything you log stays on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
None on our servers — we don't have any. All data you create in Spool (filament spools, printers, print logs, settings profiles, failure notes, drying timers, photos, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it.
When you attach a photo to a spool or print, it is selected through Android's Photo Picker or captured with your camera and stored locally on your device. Photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
• Camera — optional, requested only when you choose to take a photo in-context. • Notifications — used only to alert you when a filament drying timer finishes. The app requests no location, contacts, or background data access.
The optional one-time "Pro" unlock is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the transaction and your payment details; we never see or store your payment information. Your purchase is recorded only as a local "Pro unlocked" flag on your device. Google's handling of payments is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Spool contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising SDKs.
We do not share your data because we never receive it. Features such as CSV export and the shareable "print card" image are initiated by you and send data only to the destination you pick (for example, a file location or an app you select in the share sheet).
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control. Deleting an item removes it immediately, and uninstalling Spool removes all of its local data. There is no server-side copy to request or delete.
Spool is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at the same location. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
