Oneiro is built to be private. Your dreams, recordings, tags, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not have servers, we do not collect or transmit your data, there are no ads, and there is no tracking or analytics. Your dreams never leave your phone unless you choose to export them yourself.
None on our side. Everything you enter โ dream text, optional voice recordings, moods, tags, lucid and recurring notes, and reminder preferences โ is saved locally in the app's private storage. We have no account system and no way to access your content.
If you use voice capture, the app uses your device's built-in speech recognition to transcribe what you say into dream text. Oneiro prefers on-device/offline recognition where your device supports it. The microphone is used only while you are actively recording a dream. Any audio clip you choose to keep is stored locally and is never uploaded by us.
If you enable reality-check reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device to prompt lucid-dreaming practice. These are generated entirely on-device; nothing is sent to us.
Some Android devices may route speech recognition through a system or manufacturer service when on-device recognition is unavailable. That processing is handled by your device's operating system under its own privacy terms, not by Oneiro. You can always type your dream instead.
You are in full control. You can edit or delete any dream at any time, and you can export your entire journal to a Markdown or JSON file using your device's file picker. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.
Oneiro is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because we collect no data at all, no personal information from any user is gathered.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version with the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
