The short version: TidyDroid analyzes your photos and media entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, transmit, or sell your photos, media, or personal information. There are no ads and no tracking.

To find duplicate, similar, and blurry photos and to help you free up storage,
TidyDroid reads photos and videos on your device using Android's media permissions
(READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, and, on Android 14+,
the "Select photos" partial-access permission). This access is used solely to scan and
manage media on the device at your request.
Nothing. TidyDroid has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. Your photos and media never leave your device. We do not operate servers that receive your content, and we have no accounts or logins.
The app builds a private index (a cache of file sizes, dates, and image fingerprints such as perceptual hashes) stored locally on your device to speed up future scans. This index stays on the device and can be removed at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
When you clean items, TidyDroid moves them to the Android system trash, where they remain recoverable for 30 days before Android permanently removes them. Deletion and restoration are performed by the Android operating system, which shows its own confirmation. Nothing is permanently deleted without your explicit action.
TidyDroid offers a single one-time in-app purchase ("TidyDroid Pro") to unlock additional features. There is no subscription. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details; Google handles the transaction under Google's Privacy Policy.
TidyDroid is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or from anyone).
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and publish the revised policy at this URL and within the app.
